Skincare series: Serums #1 – Olay Regenerist Serum Fragrance Free 50ml

Serums are my favourite skincare product and as such I felt it befitting to start this skincare series with a serum I have in my skincare arsenal. There is no way anyone needs as many serums as I have, but I like to try new products and to have ye-old-favourites at hand, it’s a comfort thing I suppose.

First up, and the most repurchased of my unhealthy (although I do believe having a good serum is healthy 😉 ) serum collection is Olay Regenerist serum fragrance free 50ml, £24.99

“Regenerist Fragrance-Free Regenerating Serum uses our exclusive amino-peptide complex combined with Olay moisturise. Our formulation visibly helps regenerate skin’s appearance and leaves skin feeling velvety smooth. perfect for normal skin, dry skin and combination skin. Add it your skin care routine to:

• Soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles instantly
• Hydrate for skin that feels visibly firmer and more elastic” (olay.co.uk)

How I apply this: one pump smoothed over the face and neck after cleansing, but before moisturiser.

My thoughts: I love how this serum calms redness and helps accelerate healing of pigmentation marks left from breakouts.

Negatives: When I get to the last quarter the pump can no longer get to the product as the tube normally sits in one corner and the serum isn’t liquid so doesn’t settle back down but instead clings to the edge of the bottle, I use a thin spatula to get the last dregs.

Positives: High performing, basic, with out any frills or fancy claims and, most important for me, fragrance free.

The serum line-up to follow: Caudalie, Imedeen, Yves Rocher, Ole Henrikson, Hydralauron, Elizabeth Arden & YSL.

Currently the Olay regenerist line is included in the 3 for 2 offer at boots.com.

Have you tried the Olay Regenerist line? If so, what did you think? I would love to hear your comments, suggestions for serums & thank you for reading!
