Boots Haul

I recently posted a picture on Instagram of my Boots 3for2 purchases -I made two trips, the above picture is what I picked up during the first trip- and thought I’d follow up with a quick post of initial thoughts behind the purchases and, if I have tried them out, what my first impressions are. There have been things that have caught my eye over the last few months and I had been resisting purchasing them as at the time I really didn’t need anything… so with the recent 3 for 2 offer and a few gaps in my skincare I thought I’d try some new bits but in the end it turned out to be a new purchases (N) and repurchases (R) trip.

Avene Soothing Moisture Mask 50ml, £11.50  – N. I have been finding my skin quite tight after cleansing so thought I would add a rehydrating mask once a week.

Avene Very High Protection Spf 50 Cream 50ml, £10.13 (clearance offer) – R. I am running low on my Elizabeth Arden 8 hour Sun Defense Spf 50 and didn’t want to fork out £26 this time, maybe next time as I do love it.

Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 Cleanser + Scrub + Mask 125ml, £11.00 – N. This is something I have picked up and put down on lots of occasions and popped Neutrogena wash + mask in my basket instead, well this time I thought I’d – finally – give it a try.

Avene Thermal Spring Water 300ml, £10.00 – R. I have used this consistently for 5 years now. I find it indispensable as I have redness prone sensitive skin, so I use it to soothe irritations or just as a spray to cool my skin after epilation or a mist for after I have applied makeup. Love. It.

La Roche Posay Smoothing Moisturizing Body Milk Anti-Flake 200ml, £10.50 (clearance offer) – R. Lately I have been finding my skin isn’t really taking to my usual Soap & Glory lotion too well, so I thought I’d use this on the exceptionally dry areas – the usual culprits: knees, elbows, shins…

Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Gentle Daily Micro Polish Wash 125ml, £9.99 – N. I was running low on Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Exfoliating Cleanser and didn’t feel it did anything exceptional so I decided to give this one a try.

Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz 150ml, £4.99 – N. This looked too lovely to pass up, so I popped this in my basket. I imagined I would use it like a refreshing mist but I have been using it after Pixi Glow Tonic as a rehydrating mist before moisturising.

Botanics Superbalm 11ml, £4.99 – N. This looks really interesting and has some great natural and organic ingredients such as shea butter and rosehip oil, I’m looking forward to trying this out once my Caudalie lip balm is finished up.

Botanics Nourishing Body Oil 150ml, £5.99 – N. I prefer to use body oils after a long soak and, again, the ingredients really pulled me in so this, too, went into my basket.

Boots Tea tree and Witch hazel Body Back Spray 150ml, £4.99 – N. This looked good for skin breakouts (for after *ahem* waxing…), yep not the prettiest purchase but a definite necessary one.

Soap & Glory Daily Smooth Body Lotion 500ml, £10.00 – R. A favourite.

Nivea Firming Good-bye Cellulite Gel-Cream 200ml, £10.89 – R. Thought I would give this another try, as I haven’t been so good on frequenting the gym :-/.

Dove Summer Glow Fair to Medium 250ml, £4.99  – N. I wanted to get a gradual glow back, and this was mentioned in Boots haul I watched on youtube beforehand, helped me filter through the different options saving me time to look at other bits that didn’t make it to my basket.

Dove Summer Glow Medium to Dark 250ml, £4.99 – N. (enabled by Mouldyfruit 😉 )

I spent far too much time and money in boots, but I am really pleased with my haul as the things I have tried so far are working out well – I love it when this happens!

Hope you enjoyed reading about what I got, but did anyone else go a little overboard?
